What started as a 2- minute sketch written for the BET Awards, Real Husbands of Hollywood ended up a groundbreaking, 5 season long original, scripted hit series for BET Networks. Jesse Collins partnered with respected show-runner Ralph Farquhar and veteran director Stan Lathan to produce the show that catapulted Comedian Kevin Hart to television stardom. Real Husbands of Hollywood is a fun, unpredictable mock reality show takes a humorous peek into the “real” world of the “real” men behind the “real” women of tinseltown.
Kevin Hart stars alongside Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, J.B. Smoove and Nelly to play fictionalized versions of themselves as they venture through their surreal life in Hollywood. Episodes have featured a string of A-List guest appearances by everyone from the Kardashians, to Jay Leno and Chris Rock to Shaquille O’Neal. The uber-successful Real Husbands of Hollywood has spanned 5 seasons and has earned two NAACP Image Awards.
