Dionne
Harmon

President

After moving to Los Angeles one day after graduating from Harvard University, Dionne began her career at MTV, casting multiple seasons of the hit show Dismissed followed by Becoming and Wanna Come In. She went on to cast music videos for Usher, Alicia Keys, Busta Rhymes, Fabolous and more, before shifting her focus to production, working on projects ranging from HGTV’s Designed to Sell to David LaChapelle’s film RIZE. After a brief stint at Jamie Foxx’s production company Foxx-King, Dionne landed at OWN where she was a part of the programming and development team that launched the network. There, she learned the ins and outs of development before leaving & eventually joining Jesse Collins Entertainment in 2012.

At JCE, Dionne rose through the ranks on multiple tentpoles & specials for BET Networks. In 2015, noticing an opportunity to grow the business, she built JCE’s development department from the ground up, expanding the company’s slate & scope. Under Dionne’s leadership, JCE secured a minority investment from Fulwell73 and grew the staff from eleven to twenty-five employees. On the creative side, Dionne played a pivotal role in JCE’s growth in both the scripted & unscripted space, helping the company grow from producing content solely on BET Networks to securing a first look deal at Paramount Global and eventually producing content at NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, Netflix, HBO, CNN, MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, CMT, OWN, Lifetime, Meta, and YouTube. Most notably, JCE has established itself as the go-to production company for high-profile specials and events including The Golden Globes, The Emmys, and the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

In her current role as president of JCE, Dionne oversees all aspects of the company’s creative strategy and financial growth and is spearheading the company’s efforts to work directly with brands on content production and large-scale events.

Dionne is an Emmy Award winner, 4-time NAACP Image Award winner, an executive member of Women In Film, and a member of the Paley Media Council. She currently serves as Vice Chair on the board of Minds Matter Southern California, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help high-performing, low-income students achieve their dreams of a college education.
